A veteran of over 100 supply chain/procurement consulting assignments for multinational clients, Vel’s experience runs the gamut from business process improvement and effectiveness to strategic supply chain redesign. A regular speaker at procurement conferences, his areas of expertise include Procurement Management, Procurement Intelligence and integration of Procurement Intelligence with Sourcing.

Robert Handfield is the Bank of America University Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management at North Carolina State University, and Director of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative. Dr. Handfield is the Consulting Editor of the Journal of Operations Management, one of the leading supply chain management journals in the field. He is also the author of several books on supply chain management. His most recent titles include Supply Market Intelligence, Supply Chain Re-Design, and Introduction to Supply Chain Management. In addition, he has co-authored several textbooks for MBA and undergraduate courses.

Dr. Handfield is considered a thought leader in the field of supply chain management, and is an industry expert in the field of strategic sourcing, supply market intelligence, and supplier development. Dr. Handfield has consulted with over 25 Fortune 500 companies, including GlaxoSmithKline, Freightliner, Boston Scientific, Delphi, Chevron, British Petroleum, Nortel Networks, Chevron Phillips, Lyondell Chemical, ConocoPhillips, FedEx Corporation, Milliken, and others. He has spoken on these subjects across the globe, including China, Turkey, Latin America, Europe, Japan, Canada, and other countries.

A co-founder at Beroe, Mitch is also CEO and Chairman of the International Academy of Public Safety, Inc., an online educational center of excellence for public safety professionals. Additionally, he is founder and chairman of NanoPhrades, a strategic partner to private equity firms, delivering research, insight, and strategy development services.

An accomplished scholar and professional leader with over 25 years of academic and business experiences, Mitch is recognized for high-profile turnaround achievements affecting revenue, stability, and profitability. A member of the Academy of Outstanding Teachers and Scholars at North Carolina State University, he is also an honorary member of the United States Army Special Operations Command.

Marcy Bucci, Vice President — Worldwide Business Development

As head of worldwide sales for Beroe, Marcy is responsible for developing the company’s brand and leading the global business development organization. Prior to joining Beroe, Marcy developed and led a top sales team at Gartner Inc. in the U.S. mid-Atlantic region. Previously, Marcy worked as an enterprise outsourcing delivery executive for IBM Global Services. There, she worked, in New England, with strategic accounts that had outsourced their entire IT infrastructure. Marcy earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems and MBA from Pennsylvania State University.

Subrat Sarangi, Vice President – Market Intelligence

Subrat has over 14 years of industry and management consulting experience and has had successful tenures at Avalon Consulting (formerly, Business Consulting Group), IBM Business Consulting Services and Wipro Consulting. In his last assignment, he served as Head of the Consulting Division at iGate Global Solutions for India. He has been engaged in an advisory capacity with a mix of leading global companies across industry domains, including automotive, high-tech, FMCG, port & infrastructure, steel, healthcare, media & publishing, and plastics domains.

Subrat’s area of expertise has predominantly been around Marketing & Sales Strategy, Business Due Diligence and Change Management, Post Merger Integration, Process Optimization and Performance Improvement.

Subrat received his Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree in Industrial Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Trivandrum, and has completed his Master's in Business Administration from Xaviers Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, India.

J Thyaharajan, Vice President — Finance

J Thyaharajan (JT) is Vice President of Finance at Beroe. He is responsible for the entire gamut of Accounting and Finance functions of Beroe. JT has over 19 years of professional experience in corporate finance, having held senior positions in reputed IT/ITES organizations such as Standard Chartered Scope International and California Software Company Ltd. His experience includes working in IT startup companies, as well as large PSU and MNC banking business process outsourcing.

JT is a Chartered Accountant with vast experience in Accounting, Budgeting, Management Reporting, Fund Management, Internal Controls, Taxation and Transfer Pricing.

Saurabh Nigam, Vice President — HR, IT & Admin

Saurabh heads the HR, IT and Admin functions at Beroe. He is responsible for establishing world-class HR practices, a robust IT infrastructure and best in class admin facilities at Beroe. Saurabh plays a pivotal role in formulating and executing HR strategies in line with the company’s vision and goal.

Saurabh received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from The Army Institute of Technology and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PM&IR) from XLRI School of Business and Human Resources, Jharkhand, India.

Saurabh comes across as a culturally sensitive and a cutting-edge visionary with extensive experience of close to 10 years. He has had an exposure to a full spectrum of business operations within diverse industries and environments (high-tech startups & growing businesses). His key strengths include being a resourceful big-picture thinker, performance-focused, translating business strategies & objectives into HR initiatives through outstanding corporate executive leadership and business acumen.

Gurunath Ramesh, Head of Green

Guru heads Beroe’s Green business division. He has 12 years of management consulting, project management and industry experience in India and the Middle East. Guru has extensively worked in the field of climate change and sustainability, apart from renewable energy and power sector related projects in India and abroad.

His previous posts have included Ernst & Young, ITCOT Consultancy Services in India, and Advanced Business Consultants in Sultanate of Oman. Guru, a certified Energy Auditor from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Government of India has his Master’s degree in Financial Management (MFM) and an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras.

Jagdish Unni, Vice President — Risk

Jagdish heads the Risk Business Unit at Beroe. He has over 9 years of experience in the areas of Risk Advisory, Internal Audit, Performance Improvement, Process Consulting and Market Research in diverse sectors like banking, logistics and consulting. During his stint with Ernst & Young, he has provided solutions to clients on specific areas of risk management and performance improvement besides contributing to companies in diverse sectors like retail, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and FMCG. Riding on his previous experience in both business and functional roles, he is adept in handling multiple domains like sales, procurement, inventory management, process migration and budgeting. In his last assignment, he was the Head of operations and Business process with Wanbury Limited – India / Spain.

Jagdish has a Master’s Degree in Management from NMIMS Mumbai and Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering from University of Mumbai.

Vinod Kalyan, Vice President — Engagement Management

As head of Engagement Management for Beroe, Vinod is responsible for enhancing client experience and building a team of world-class business advisors. He is an accomplished management consultant with experience in new business development, client service delivery management, and large strategic and midsized account management for clients worldwide.

In his career, Vinod has had tenures with organizations like Collabera Consulting, Infosys, and Dresser. As a Managing Principal at Collabera, he led mobility solutions and helped the senior leadership team in formulating solution strategy around up-and-coming technologies. At Infosys, Vinod worked in the consulting group, focusing primarily on strategy and operations cases for banking and telco clients. He also held executive positions at start-ups in the high-tech and mobile sectors.

Vinod holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University.
